Exterior Painting
How long does an exterior paint job take?
Most single-family homes take 3–6 days depending on size, surface condition, and weather. We’ll give you a specific timeline during your estimate.
What time of year is best for exterior painting?
Generally spring through fall, when temperatures and humidity allow paint to cure properly. We’ll factor weather into your scheduling so the job is done right, not just done fast.
Is power washing included before an exterior paint job?
Yes. Paint doesn’t bond properly to a dirty surface, so a wash is built into our exterior painting process, not an optional add-on.
Do you handle prep work like scraping and sanding, or is that extra?
Prep work is always included. It’s the most important part of a paint job actually lasting, so we don’t treat it as an upsell.
What if my home has lead paint?
We’re EPA Lead-Safe certified and follow proper containment and work practices for any home built before 1978. Just let us know during the estimate, and we’ll factor it into the plan.
Interior Painting
Will you move my furniture?
We protect and work around furniture as part of every interior job. For larger pieces, we’ll talk through what makes sense during your estimate.
How many coats of paint will I need?
It depends on the existing color, the new color, and the surface. We aim for even, full coverage with as few coats as possible — usually two, sometimes one with the right primer.
Can you match an existing color or help me pick something new?
Both. We can match what’s already there or walk you through new color and finish options based on lighting, room size, and your style.
Do you paint cabinets?
Yes, cabinet painting and refinishing is one of our regular interior services.
Commercial Painting
Can you work outside normal business hours?
Yes. We regularly schedule commercial jobs nights and weekends specifically to avoid disrupting your operations.
Do you handle multi-unit or large-scale properties?
Yes, including multi-unit residential buildings, retail centers, and industrial facilities.
Are you insured for commercial work?
Yes, RM Painting NJ is fully insured. Documentation is available on request.
Power Washing
Will power washing damage my siding or deck?
Not when it’s done right. We match pressure level and method to the surface — soft-washing for more delicate materials, higher pressure for concrete and masonry.
How often should I get my house power washed?
Most homes benefit from a wash every 1–2 years, depending on exposure to trees, moisture, and traffic.
Can I get power washing without a paint job?
Yes, it’s available as a standalone service.
Pricing & Payments
Why should I trust your pricing is fair?
We’ve built our business on transparent pricing for 30+ years — what we quote is what you pay, with no inflated estimate to negotiate down from and no surprise add-ons once we’re on site.
What payment methods do you accept?
